The original safari
Light, space and silence
Namibia is the safari for people who love landscape as much as wildlife. The red dunes of Sossusvlei, the Skeleton Coast, desert-adapted elephant in Damaraland and Etosha’s great white pan.
Distances are long and the roads are empty, which is exactly the point. We move you by light aircraft where it matters and by road where the drive is part of the experience.
Nights are the surprise. Namibia has some of the darkest skies on Earth, and several of our camps are built around that fact with open-air star beds.
Where to go
Dawn on the dunes, then Deadvlei’s petrified camel-thorns.
Desert elephant, black rhino tracking and ancient rock art at Twyfelfontein.
Waterhole game viewing in the dry season, with astonishing concentrations.
Shipwrecks, seal colonies and fog rolling over the dunes.
Our approach
Three nights is the minimum we recommend anywhere. It takes a day to arrive, a day to settle, and only then does the bush start to show itself. In Namibia we typically pair two or three camps chosen for contrast, not for ticking regions off a map.
